Magnify Your Message With Twitter Power

Are you a McHenry County business owner who created a Twitter profile but do not have many followers? If so, I am talking to you. Yes, YOU.

It is time to take your tweets to the next level. Your message is amplified as your audience grows. I challenge to you magnify your message.

If you are new to Twitter, sign up and join the challenge. For those of you with more than 500 followers, you are welcome to join us too! One of my clients told me yesterday they followed these steps and have 800 Twitter followers in three weeks.

Here is my challenge to you! Set you goal to have 500 Twitter followers by April 15, 2011.

How do you get 500 Twitter users to follow you? Here is a simple 5 step plan to achieve your goal.

  1. Many Twitter users will follow those who follow them. So, gain followers by following others. Start by following your Twitter followers. I use Tweepi for this.
  2. Are you following me on Twitter? I will follow you back. My twitter names are @aprilmwilliams and @cyberlifetutors.
  3. Find a guru, or expert in your field. Follow their followers.
  4. Tweet interesting tweets. It’s a conversation out there on Twitter. Tweet some business messages and some interesting messages. Comment on the weather in Chicago, the Cubs or Soxs, links to articles in the news, etc.
  5. Write a comment on our blog below by clicking on “COMMENTS and tell us you accepted the challenge. Don’t forget to give us your Twitter handle so we can follow you.
  6. BONUS TIP: After you add your Twitter handle to our blog, I’ll add you to my Tweeple to Follow Twitter list. Follow all the people on this list and see how many follow you back.

The challenge is on! Let me know how you are progressing. Who will be the first to reach 500 followers? Write another comment on our blog when you achieve your goal.

Henry Ford Knows You Are Right

If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing, you’re right.
Henry Ford, (attributed)
US automobile industrialist (1863 – 1947)        Source: quotations page

Henry Ford was right. Founder of Ford Motor Company, the Model T and the assembly line, he changed the way Americans and the world did business. Above is one of my favorite quotes from Henry Ford.

As we begin learning new skills, it can feel like an uphill battle.

  • Sweat dripping off our brow.
  • Knees knocking.
  • Butterflies in our stomach.
  • Heart racing.

First time experiences may set the nervous energy flowing. Direct the adrenaline rush towards a positive channel to benefit from your experience. It is easy to get wrapped up in the fears.

Take control of your destiny and focus your efforts on the results. A few deep breathes can do wonders to relax the mind. Take a moment to refocus your energy.

Blog 30 Day Challenge is On

Today, June 1, 2010 is Day 1 of the Blog 30 Day Challenge. My goal is to post 30 new blog postings here over the month of June. Inspired by Connie Green, I accepted the first Blog 30 Day Challenge in April. I had fun, learned a few tips and met interesting bloggers from around the world. I decided to participate in the new challenge as a way to stretch outside my comfort zone and learn more about blogging.

Over the past two years I started two blogs. I am learning more about working with WordPress blogs and I’ll be sharing this experience with you on this site in the near future. You will see changes to the look and feel of this blog also.

What do you to stretch outside your comfort zone? Where do you look for inspiration and information?
